The Orbit is a techno and dance oriented sound module featuring deep pulsating basses, ambient melodic pads, cutting edge percussion and drums, dance oriented synths, massive effects and synths, including sounds from the Roland TB-303, Juno, Casio CZ-101, and TR-909.
E-MU released an EPROM Kit that allowed the original Orbit modules to be upgraded to the V2 version.

This procedure destroys any presets stored in RAM.
1. Hold both Cursor (< >) buttons down and power on the unit.
2. Once booted up into the Diagnostics menu, turn the Data wheel knob to Initialize.
3. Press the Home/Enter button.
4. Press Home/Enter again to confirm.
5. Turn the unit off, wait a few seconds and turn the unit on.
